An Advanced Placement course
taught by Ms. Eileen Postler, M.A.
This class is open to qualified juniors who have achieved superior grades in history, demonstrate a passion for the study of history, and are recommended by the members of the Saint Saviour History Department. The course examines the political, social, and economic history of the United Sates from the colonial period to the present day.
Students are prepared to take the College Board's Advanced Placement Examination in American History in May of their junior year as well as the New York State Regents Examination in June of their junior year. Students who achieve a high score on the College Board Advanced Placement Examination have the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.
