School
Saint Saviour High School is located in the landmark
section of Park Slope. It was founded in 1917 as a college preparatory
school for girls under the aegis of the School Sisters of Notre Dame. The
school is chartered and registered under the University of the State
Department of Education and is a permanent member of the College Entrance
Examination Board. Enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year is 270
students, 70 of whom are seniors.
Faculty
Staff of whom 57% hold one or more Master's degrees and
two hold Doctorates.
Student to Faculty ratio is 9:1.
Guidance
Guidance is coordinated by two qualified counselors.

Class Rank - GPA
Rank and GPA are determined by a weighted average. Grades
of AP courses are multiplied by a factor of 1.06; Honor level courses and
Pre-Calculus are multiplied by a factor of 1.04; Regent level courses are
multiplied by a factor of 1.02 and all other course are multiplied by a
factor of 1.0. Math I, II, III, Global Studies I and II, American History,
English, French, Spanish, Latin, Biology and Chemistry are Regents only.
Physics and Elective courses are non-Regents.
