Facilities

As technologies impact in society continues to grow exponentially we at St. Saviour are dedicated to staying on top of the latest innovations and providing access to all our students.

We are predominately a Windows XP environment networked with high speed internet access. We will be upgrading all computers to Windows 7 by September 2011. We are also looking at expanding our program to incorporate more MAC hardware in the near future. Other improvements students can look forward to soon are: 3-D printing, Google Apps and Gmail accounts, Moodle and much more. With all these tools at their disposal St. Saviour students are at the forefront of the intersection between technology and education.

Technology Lab

Software includes:

  • Microsoft Office 2007
  • Adobe Creative and Wed Design Premium CS4 with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Dreamweaver, Flash and Illustrator
  • Music Software: Finale 2007 and Reason 3.0
  • Alice, Scratch, Text Wrangler for Java, BlueJ, Google Sketchup

Hardware includes:

  • 25 Pentium 4 machines, 10 Intel Dual Core Machines
  • NEW - 19” + 22” ASUS LCD FLAT SCREENS!
  • HP 2200, 2300, 4200 black and white and HP 1600 color laser and a Samsung CLP600 color laser printer
  • InFocus, NEC and Dukane, Unify35’s, BENQ Overhead Projectors

Library

The Saint Saviour Library fosters a community of learning and
information literacy that leads to high academic achievement,
independent reading and learning, and collaboration throughout the
school. Students and teachers are all active library users.

Our resources include:

  • Print and video collection of more than 5500 titles
  • Popular and scholarly periodicals for student and faculty use
  • Subscription databases that students may use in school or at home
  • Saint Saviour Thabor collection from 1939-present
  • Automated catalog and collection management system
  • 6 student PCs with internet access
  • Laser printer and photocopier for student use
  • Audio-visual units for classroom use
  • Spacious area for individual or group work and tutoring
