Campus Ministry

Campus ministry provides opportunities that support, challenge, and nourish, both the students and the faculty, in their on-going faith formation and spiritual development.

Our faith community, here at St. Saviour High School, participates in regularly scheduled liturgies, penance services and prayer experiences. Students, plan, conduct and assist the work of campus ministry as lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion (seniors only), altar services, leaders of prayers, campus ministry representatives and outreach coordinators.

An important component of the spiritual life of the students is our retreat program.  In September freshmen begin their St. Saviour experience with in-house retreat.  During sophomore and junior year students have a one day retreat at nearby spiritual formation center.  As seniors the girls have the option of a three day/two night retreat in upstate New York or a one day retreat at a local retreat house.

Campus ministry hopes to create an atmosphere where students can come to know their God-given gifts and mature in their spiritual life.  They are challenged not just to learn their faith but to live it.  We expect that each student will then give of their time, treasure and talent in service to others.
