Senior Retreat

October 23, 2019

The Class of 2020 attended their final retreat as Saviourites at the Don Bosco Retreat House in October. Students participated in team building activities such as constructing bridges (with newspaper and masking tape) that held numerous ten-pound weights and creating molds of various objects with fresh clay. They also paired up to do a trust walk; students were either blindfolded or mute with tape over their mouths. This activity taught them how to rely on each other and to communicate in non-verbal ways. It also taught them about caring for those in need.  Students also enjoyed the beautiful outdoors of the retreat center by roasting marshmallows over an open fire on the first night.

The retreat allowed students to experience their faith through skits, meditations, a rosary and penance service, scripture readings and a closing Mass. The highlight of the retreat was students receiving their "mail bags" filled with beautiful notes from their friends. Thank you to the Religious Studies department, Ms. Sucich and Director of Guidance, Ms. Maurer for making this experience so memorable for the seniors.
