On Friday, September 27, the Freshmen retreat was held for the Class of 2023. The day began by attending Mass at Saint Saviour Church and then students moved into the church community center where they discussed this year's retreat theme: "Jesus - the Great Friend". The interactive talk, led by head of Religious Studies, Ms. Deborah Sucich, was about being friends with Jesus, what friendship means to them and how the Saints are God's special friends.
Following that theme, students decorated hearts with their meaning of friendship which will be part of a friendship tree in the school. Students also wrote letters to themselves that they will receive as Seniors. The day ended with students receiving rosary beads donated by the mother of English teacher Ms. Keller. She makes them by hand and had them specially blessed for the students.
